I began my CrossFit journey in the summer of 2015. As a kid, I played almost every sport: soccer, volleyball, track and field, basketball and gymnastics. I never found something that I enjoyed and got me into shape until I found CrossFit. At 14, I quit all other sports and decided I only wanted to do CrossFit because it was the first sport I really loved. It has not only changed my fitness but has also influenced my career path. I’m currently majoring in Exercise and Wellness at Arizona State University to pursue Physical Therapy. I became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer at the age of 18. The best part of being a coach is watching the progress of every individual, from those who have never stepped foot into a gym before to others who have been athletes their whole lives.

CrossFit Running Certificate Certified
AZPOST Physical Fitness Instructor
1st Degree Blackbelt | Budoshin Ju-Jitsu

My fitness journey began with martial arts as a kid. I began strength and endurance training to supplement my ju-jitsu training. I received my black belt in 2006 and began teaching part-time. I eventually began competing in amateur MMA competitions. I then joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves in 2010. I lost most of my muscle mass in the initial training and used powerlifting to gain my weight and strength back. In 2013, I became a police officer with the City of Scottsdale. Once again, I lost a lot of weight in the academy. I began lifting weights once again to gain mass. In 2015, I got injured on an obstacle course during a military training event. I then turned to CrossFit for rehabilitation. I began training on my own, then joined an affiliate several months later. I then became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer in 2017.

I learned about CrossFit from my Physical Therapist in 2005 who was rehabbing my shoulder after a dislocation. At that time, was basically just an HTML style website, so learning to do the WODS was an kids don’t know how good you have it.

I’ve been CrossFitting since 2005…I started after I could dead hang from a pull-up bar after PT and never looked back!

I have an Army military background, 20 years total combined Active and Reserve time. Combat 2x in Iraq 2008-2010, 1x in AFG 2013…third strike and I am out!

Certified Doctor of Chiropractic

I am a Chiropractic Physician with 14 years of experience and got involved in fitness at the same time by becoming a certified strength & conditioning specialist. I was a strength & conditioning coach for high school and collegiate level sports for a number of years, then got involved with racquet sports \’off-court\’ conditioning as this was my background as a sport. I was already cross-training to improve in racquet sports. One of the guys I train with saw me and said, “you know there are places that do all this stuff you do, but in a group for time and reps.” Once I heard that, I started looking for a box. I have been involved with CrossFit since 2009. Consistently and competitively for 2 years now. I have been on the CF Games medic team, and have hundreds of CF athletes as patients in my physical medicine practice.

I have been practicing sports medicine and chiropractic for 14 years, but the best part of my career is coaching individuals in fitness from beginner level to elite athletes, seeing their progress, applying what I know in sports science to make them better athletes. I also have a transformation program for individuals with chronic problems that I can guide to a new lifestyle. One of my most successful clients is an individual male who used to be 560 lbs. and in less than 2 years under my program has lost 220 lbs., embraced the crossfit lifestyle, learned what to eat and avoid, and has never turned back. True transformation that continues to progress. Individuals succeed no matter what their goals are when they are one of my clients. Your goals are my priority.
